Terms of Trade

 

There are so many things to know when buying online, we have opted for plain language terms and conditions, that are easy to follow, concise, but above all are fair.  We don’t try to trip you up with jargon and long winded, complicated conditions.  Instead we have simple solutions to Warranty’s and Returns.  If you are unhappy, please let us know, we may be able to help you out, even if its is not written here, because we obviously can’t foresee every situation.  By purchasing from the Alderson AU  website, you should be aware of the following conditions just in case.

Terms used:


“The seller” refers to Alderson Australia
“The buyer” refers to any legal entity purchasing from the seller or using this website.
“The Website’ refers to www.aldersonsanders.com.au
“The Act” refers to the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993

Prices and Currency Conversion


All prices are in AU$ and are exclusive of GST and freight

​

1.   Product Descriptions and Pricing Information


In the event that a product is listed at an incorrect price, or with incorrect information due to an error in pricing or product information, the seller shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price.  The seller shall have the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged.  If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, the seller shall immediately issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the charge.  If the goods do not match the description on the seller’s website, the buyer should inform the seller immediately so that the seller may take appropriate action.  The seller reserves the right to change the content of the website at any time without prior notice.

2.   Order Acceptance Policy


Your receipt of an electronic or other form of order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell.  Order acceptance only occurs when goods are dispatched to the buyer.  The seller reserves the right at any time after receipt of your order, to accept or decline your order for any reason.  The seller reserves the right at any time after receipt of your order, without prior notice, to supply less than the quantity ordered of any item.  We may require additional verifications or information before accepting any order.

3.   Order Delivery Times


Any quotation of delivery times by the seller are made in good faith but are estimates and the seller shall not be bound by such quotations.

4.   Dispatch Warehouses


Items will be dispatched from our Auckland warehouse or any of our sales representatives around the country.

Freight rates will remain the same as listed on the website for each dispatch location.

Return of Goods


a)   Goods can only be returned under our 14 Day Money Back Guarantee Policy rules.


b)   Goods cannot be returned if you simply change your mind after 14 days from purchase date.

5.   Shipping and Delivery


International orders will be processed differently without online payment.  Such orders will be quoted offline to take into account shipping and other exporting or importing considerations.

Delivery Times


Orders confirmed and paid by 2pm will normally be dispatched on the same business day (Monday to Friday)
Orders confirmed and paid after 2pm will normally be dispatched the next business day (Monday to Friday)

​

a)    All orders are shipped using Track and Trace and require signature upon delivery.


b)   Orders placed on an Australian Public Holiday will be processed on the next business day.


c)   If for some reason we cannot fulfill an order within the specified time frames you will be notified by email of the new delivery time.


d)   Orders paid for by credit card are securely processed in “real time” when you place the order.  They will normally be dispatched on the same business day if received before 2pm.


NOTE:  Only VISA and MasterCard will be accepted

Rural Deliveries


All rural deliveries must be within 10Km of the nearest township otherwise extra charges will apply.


NOTE:  Rural deliveries normally take an extra 1-3 days.

​

Damages or Lost in Transit


Goods leaving the seller premises are adequately packed.  Claims for damage or lost in transit must be made as follows:

​

a)   Prior to acknowledging delivery from the carrier the buyer must ensure that the complete consignment as per the carrier’s note has been received.  If there has been a shortage or visible damage to outer packaging the carrier’s note must be endorsed accordingly.  No liability for goods damaged or lost in transit will be accepted by the seller.  Details of any claim should be immediately advised to the seller and the carrier so that a remedy can be processed.


b)   You must notify the seller and carrier of any damage (internal or external) within 24 hours of receiving the goods.

 

NOTE:  If you do not notify us or the carrier within 24 hours of receiving the goods we will not be able to lodge a claim with the carrier.

 

7   Assumption of Responsibility

The buyer understands that the items supplied must be used in accordance with the instructions included with the products.

The seller will not be held liable for any misuse of the equipment or accessories supplied though our website.

 

8  Limitation of Liability

​

To the full extent of the laws in Australia the seller shall not in any event be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages including but not limited to loss of use, loss of data or loss of business profits.  If the materials on this website are purchased for business purposes, as defined by the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the provisions of that Act shall not apply to the materials purchased.

Materials on this website may not be modified, reproduced or publicly displayed, performed or distributed without the written consent of Alderson Australia.

10   Applicable Law

​

This website is intended to be mainly accessed by Australian residents.  We make no representations about compliance of this website with the laws of other countries.  Therefore if you access this website outside Australia you do so at your own risk and are responsible for complying with any laws where you access the website, or where information you publish or upload can be accessed.

 

11   Privacy Policy

​

Alderson Australia  will not pass your personal information on to any other party without your permission.  Your personal information will only be used for the purpose for which you gave it to us.

 

12   Warranty

​

The sellers warranty covers any fault, defect or failure as a result of the manufacturing process.  It covers manufacturing defects only and does not cover faults caused by lack of maintenance, improper use, incorrect assembly or normal wear and tear.

 

Here is what you need to do:
If you have a defective or damaged item please contact us immediately.
a)   Clearly state what the problem is and include the following information: Invoice number, date of purchase, description of item, best daytime number and if possible a photograph of the damage.
b)   We will contact you within 1-2 working days to arrange the best solution for you.
c)   Do not return the goods before you contact us.

The Terms are very simple:
a)   Any item found to be faulty within the stated warranty period will be repaired or exchanged.
b)   Return costs will be at the expense of the buyer.
c)   The seller warranty is only provided to the original purchaser and is not transferable to any other party
